Heather’s background includes extensive experience with commercial design projects utilizing her 15 years in the commercial facilities industry.
She has 12 years experience as a project manager responsible for managing the space planning, design, asset management, specification and final installation of on-going projects.  By utilizing her skills, Heather achieves the most efficient use of space, and client resources resulting in lower overall operating expenses without sacrificing client comfort, increases efficiency and reduces overhead costs.  Heather’s technical expertise and leadership capabilities have contributed to a number of successful facilities projects for both small and large facilities.

Her experience includes developing schedules, managing corporate tenant improvements, IT and Security coordination, and employee relocations.  Heather has worked with a wide variety of office furniture systems including Haworth, Knoll, Herman Miller and Steelcase.

Kara was recruited with FMS as an intern in the Interior Design Department, and in the past year has joined FM Solutions as a full time Associate.  Kara lends her Interior Design education and experience to her role as an on-site Project Manager.  She possesses the ability and experience to manage several projects and employees while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.  She utilizes every opportunity to demonstrate her creative abilities, technical knowledge and determination.

Karen has extensive experience in commercial interiors including over 12 years dedicated to corporate facilities and their unique challenges. Her early work consisted of programming, space planning, and specifications of systems furniture. Working with fortune 500 clients such as Qwest Communications, TCI, TeleTech and JD Edwards, she became a furniture expert. She later moved into management roles and advanced her skills in process development, benchmarking, budgets, training, presentations and most of all people skills. Her ability to listen and communicate effectively has increased her opportunity for successful projects and relationships. In the past 5 years Karen has managed significant projects for Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett Packard, Southern California Edison and Sempra Energy Solutions. She has expanded her skills in project management, architectural and interior design, master planning, construction documents, cost estimating, and construction management.

With scope, schedule and budget always in mind, Karen takes ownership of all projects she manages and challenges all on her team to minimize risk by following proven action steps and communicating effectively. Her positive attitude and creative thought process allows her to see a fresh approach to difficult situations.

Marc is a Project Manager with experience in the strategic planning, design, and construction of diverse office renovations.  Extensive background in directing all project phases, from feasibility research through completion of construction and project closeout, coordinating the efforts of all contractors; architectural, engineering, technologies and furniture.  Highly motivated, goal-oriented professional providing leadership, vision, and an innate sense of creativity.  Reputation for strong work ethic and uncompromising devotion to service.

Marc’s strong understanding of project management services include providing 8 years of comprehensive professional experience on large corporate accounts in both national and international markets.
